The Story Behind the Picture

"Sweet Land of Liberty is an image I captured in Newport Beach, California.  Our daughter attended school in Southern California, and I loved to visit her there, and occasionally head to this beautiful seaside town.  I loved walking the streets with my camera, listening to screen doors slam, conversations happening through open windows, dogs being walked, and children playing along the sidewalks.  As always in Southern California, the flowers bloom profusely, decorating the homes and streets with bright colors.  It feels like America on vacation, and at it's very best."  ~ Sherry
