The Story Behind the Picture

"The red oak that grew this beautiful Oak Leaf in Autumn lives in our backyard.  We planted it in 1997 and it is still flourishing-- providing cool shade in the summer and lovely color in the fall.  We have learned the hard way at our house that red oaks are a bit fragile, and we are grateful it even survived the building of a new house around it.  Maybe it helped that I said a prayer over it every day!"  ~ Sherry
