"Maple Ice is an image I captured right outside our front door after one of the infamous Dallas ice storms.  They might only occur once a year, if that, but when they do, everything shuts down and becomes quiet, soft, and still.  I can never resist venturing out with my camera to see what magic has occurred.  These are leaves from our Japanese Red Maple that had fallen on the sidewalk.  The color is magnificent, of course, and no rearranging was needed to create a layout of leaves that feel like a work of art."  ~ Sherry
